Star Brite Home Day Care is a licensed, comprehensive, loving, learning environment, that is enriched with activities designed to shape and mold curious minds. Star Brite provides the foundational skills, concepts, attitudes, and values that each child will take with him or her to the kindergarten level.
In addition, the preschool curriculum is built on the philosophy, goals, policies, and guiding principles of Maryland Childcare and provides pre-requisite skills that they will carry with them into the next chapter of their life.
Our services provide a wide range of fun, engaging hands-on activities, and learning through play centers using the best opportunities and engagement the child needs.

Times
Star Brite Home Day Care provides full-time, part-time and year-round care. We also provide before and after-care for children who may be part of another educational program.

Meals
Star Brite Home Day Care can provide healthy meals throughout the day. We are a nut free environment and we take special consideration to accommodate any allergy or dietary needs that your child requires.
About
Karen Gideon-Spivey is a licensed teacher with eight years of teaching experience from the country of Belize and four years of experience in Childcare Education. She holds a B.A. in Primary Education, a Child Development Certification, 45-clock hours of Infant and Toddlers training and she has taken additional coursework at Howard Community College and H&H Childcare.
During the 2020-2021 academic/pandemic year (September - June), Karen was the lead teacher for a Pre-K pod to prep a group of children for Kindergarten.
Karen maintains the highest credential possible for her field of proficiency. Not only will your child learn from a highly trained professional, but your child will experience a diverse cultural learning environment.
